Ahead of a major financial platform release, Orienic was engaged to perform a deep-dive security review targeting business logic flaws, authorization boundaries, and API edge protection.

Rather than delivering a generic automated scanner report, our review concentrated on actionable exploit vectors, privilege escalation risks, and data leakage channels.

Methodological Approach

• Threat Surface Mapping: Every public and authenticated route was mapped against authorization scopes to prevent IDOR and broken object-level authorization vulnerabilities.
• Dynamic Penetration Testing: Manual testing with Burp Suite revealed subtle timing-attack vectors in key authorization flows.
• Edge Hardening: Cloudflare WAF custom rules, rate limiting, and mTLS verification were implemented to protect critical endpoints.

Findings & Remediation

All identified high-severity findings were remediated and verified in staging within 72 hours, leaving the platform fully hardened for launch with automated regression tests in CI.
